- Talking about wanting to hurt or kill oneself
- Looking for means to harm self such as firearms, pills etc.
- Talking or writing about death, dying or suicide that is out of the norm for this person
- Feeling hopeless
- Feeling rage or uncontrolled anger or looking for revenge
- Engaging in risky behavior
- Feeling trapped like there is no way out
- Increased alcohol or drug use
- Withdrawal from friends and family and society
- Feeling anxious, angry or unable to sleep or sleeping all the time
- Dramatic mood changes
- No reason for living & no purpose
