Board of Directors…

President- Robin Harris- Robin has often described herself as ‘just a mom’, but as she has learned in her life…just a mom is anything but ‘just’! Birthing five gorgeous children has been an honor!  She also believes her life has led her through various hills and valleys to bring her to the place she is today in leading the Kaitlin Harris Foundation to be an organization that is not only committed to providing education, resources and help to at risk youth from suicide, but also passionate and driven to do what it takes to reach this hurting population of teen lives!

David Harris- David graduated from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine May, 1985, with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Has worked as a private small animal practitioner for the past 23 years in Kansas City, MO and is currently an associate in private practice at the Veterinary Group of Chesterfield, in St. Louis Mo.  He is recognized as a leading Veterinarian in the State of Missouri.  David grew up in a military home with his father serving as a career United States Marine Corp.  His family roots are in southwest Missouri and in a rural farming community.  David maintains that he may live in the big city but his heart is from the close rural community that he grew up cherishing.  David is the father of five and grandfather to two.  David and Kaitlin shared the love of animals as Kaitlin had often spoke of being 'just like' her dad in saving the suffering of all of God's creatures...great and small.

Kanna Annamalai Brown- Kanna has been an attorney and adult educator. She is currently a jewelry designer/partner in LoveMeKnot Inc. She works with KHF to help break down barriers to teens from communities and homes in which seeking help for emotional issues is considered a taboo and to make sure that all teens in our community get the help they need.

Secretary- Barb Farber- Barb graduated from St Louis College of Pharmacy in 1981, and is currently employed at St Mary's Hospital in the outpatient pharmacy department as a RPh. Her daughter Jenny was best friends with Kaitlin from kindergarten through sixth grade. Barb was Kaitlin's girl scout leader, cheerleading coach, etc and our whole family considered Kaitlin part of our family.

Treasurer- Gabrielle Higginbotham- Gabrielle has a BS in Accounting from Maryville University. Currently, she works full time as an Accountant, and is also President/Owner of GMH Enterprises, Ltd. an MBE/WBE certified company. Gabrielle is the proud mother of Jessica and Parker. Jessica was dear childhood friends with Kaitlin Harris. Kaitlin's suicide, like Gabrielle's uncle's suicide, left a great void in their lives. One person who is helped, is another life saved - another suicide prevented! Let's reach out and make a difference!

Mary Gentile- Mary has a degree in Communications.  She is currently a jewelry designer and the creator of LoveMeKnot Inc.  She has raised 3 children.  Her son, Alex, was a close friend of Kaitlin’s.  Her suicide brought Mary into Kaitlin’s family and sparked the idea for the Love Me Knot necklace and poem.  “It's pretty amazing and overwhelming to know that there will never be another one of each one of us ever and that is worth millions.  We each are a miracle. That's why I want to make a difference and help others to feel good about the journey and not take life's battles it sooooo seriously.”

Stacy van Hacker- Stacy is a licensed clinical practitioner at St. John's Mercy Edgewood Adolescent outpatient unit, for drug and alcohol treatment and mental illnesses.  She received her degree from Webster University in counseling and has worked with juvenile offenders for the state of Missouri.  Stacy was Kaitlin's counselor at Edgewood and has been very helpful to her family since her death. Stacy works as a therapist.  She specializes with teen clients and groups.

Erin Wischmeier- Erin is currently a student at the University of Missouri-St Louis in the college of nursing. Erin and Kaitlin were friends throughout their childhood and wanted to help out in her name. She wants to help people deal with mental illnesses like she has throughout her life.

Jennifer Trudeau- Jennifer is originally from St. Louis and a new resident of Rolla Missouri. Her background is mainly in Public Relations and Marketing. She is presently working with Senior Citizens as a Patient Care Coordinator with Missouri Home Care. Her area of specialty is as a certified life coach working primarily with teenagers and challenges faced both socially and academically. As a coach, Jennifer helps teens recognize their strengths, embrace their present, and move toward their goals.

Debra Jenkins- Debra has been a pediatric RN and is currently studying web design. She is the mother of Josh and AnneMarie. She was drawn to the Kaitlin Harris Foundation by a desire to help those who struggle, like herself, with mental illness.

Tanya Seale- Tanya is a freelance writer for children and young adults. She is also a wife and mother, as well as a college student whose concentration is Creative Writing and Script Writing. She hopes her work will give hope and an empowering voice to teens. Kaitlin Harris was Tanya's neighbor.
